STUDENTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT — The last Student in the Spotlight recognition ceremony of 2022-23 at the SeDoMoCha School in Dover-Foxcroft was held on May 26. Most students this month were recognized for “continuous learning.” These students strive to continue to improve their knowledge and skills beyond what is taught in class. They ask questions, seek clarification, and take responsibility for their learning. They immerse themselves into the topic at hand and inspire others to do the same. They go above and beyond in their learning and share their knowledge with others who are interested. Grade 7 chose to focus on safety. Administration recognized four staff members for being empathetic; Jesse Curtis, elementary guidance counselor; Wendy Roy, kindergarten teacher; Sarah Whitney, elementary special education teacher; and Katie Day, special education administrative assistant. All four recognized staff received a special parking spot in the front of the building.
