QUARTER SALE FOR PAWS — On Sunday, Dec. 11, the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church, United Church of Christ held the first annual Kids Christmas Fair and Quarter Store (all items for sale for just a quarter). A total of $528 was raised through sales from kids in our community — Dexter, Milo, Guilford, Brownville, Sebec, and Dover-Foxcroft. The kids were asked to vote on which worthy organization would receive the funds. The kids voted overwhelmingly to donate all proceeds to PAWS in Milo. PAWS, Penquis Animal Welfare Sanctuary, is a non-profit organization dedicated to taking in the area’s stray and abandoned animals. They are a no-kill sanctuary. If you would like to donate to PAWS, they can always use Purina Cat Chow in the blue bag, Friskies cat food (pate), inexpensive bleach, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, paper towels, and Fantastik spray cleaner without bleach. Of course, monetary donations are also accepted. Pictured are Sandy Smart from PAWS, left, with the check and right, Phyllis Moore from the DFC-UCC.
