Piscataquis County Democrats fall fundraising dinner returns

MILO — Piscataquis County Democrats gathered at the Three Rivers Kiwanis Headquarters in Milo on Saturday, Oct. 15 for their annual fall fundraising dinner, the first since 2019.
MILO — Piscataquis County Democrats gathered at the Three Rivers Kiwanis Headquarters in Milo on Saturday, Oct. 15 for their annual fall fundraising dinner, the first since 2019. Members enjoyed a wonderful dinner, a silent auction and inspiring remarks from candidates Lou Sidell, Andrea Thurlow and Rep. Richard Evans, D-Dover-Foxcroft.
Secretary of State Shenna Bellows provided a riveting keynote message and Attorney General Aaron Frey served as master of ceremonies for the evening energizing the assembled with lots of humor and goodwill.
Two awards are given annually for outstanding service. This year the Don Hall Award was given to Ben Richmond of Dover-Foxcroft for his efforts to strengthen the party, and the Stephanie Locke Award was given to Andrea Thurlow of Atkinson for her outstanding leadership of the service committee in addressing local food insecurity.
