Maine Legislature recognizes Dexter student-athletes
AUGUSTA – Sen. Paul Davis, R-Sangerville and Rep. Steven Foster, R-Dexter welcomed the Dexter Regional High School boys basketball and cheering teams and their coaches to the Maine State House on March 29. The teams were recognized by both chambers of the Legislature for their athletic achievements. The Tiger basketball team won the Class C North championship, while the Dexter cheering team was the runner-up at the Class C championship.
The boys team is made up of Cameron Allen, Ben Bourgoin, Caden Brown, Owen Brown, Bryce Connor, Avery Gagnon, Kayden Kimball, Will Kusnierz, Brady Reynolds, Seth Robbins, Gage Sinclair, Will Spratt, manager Miles Gadwah, coaches Mike Martin and Jason Campbell, and head coach Peter Murray.
Cheering team members are Alyvia Dorman, Andrea Gilman, Amelia Greaves, Tiffany Heinrichs, Elyssa Jerome, Kenzie Kimball, Elizabeth Roberts, McKenzie Trafton, Cristin Warner, Jennifer Young, coach Danielle Mower, and head coach Kirstie Mower.

Davis is in his fourth term in the Maine Senate and represents District 4, which includes communities in both Piscataquis and Penobscot counties. He is the Senate Republican Lead of the Legislature’s Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee.
Foster is in his second term in the Maine House and represents District 104, which includes five communities in Penobscot County. He is a member of the Legislature’s Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee.
