Ponies earn Big East honors

DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Big East Basketball Conference released its end-of-year awards and all-conference teams, with Foxcroft Academy well represented.

Senior Filip Brkic is one of five all-conference first team selections. Junior Caden Crocker was chosen for the third team.

The Big East girls all-conference team includes junior Annie Raynes on the third team, while senior Kiya Cook received honorable mention recognition.

Team awards include Scholar-Athlete: seniors Austin Seavey and Meghan Spooner;

Paul Soucy Spirit Award: juniors Cameron Chase and Abby Knapp; and

Defensive Player: Crocker and Spooner. 

Boys head coach Toby Nelson was named Big East Boys Coach of the Year, along with Peter Austin of Ellsworth High School.

Brkic and Cook will play in the Big East senior all-star games on Saturday, March 5 at Hermon High School, where all award winners will be honored and recognized.
