County Democrats collect food during Hometown Holidays

DOVER-FOXCROFT – To coincide with Dover-Foxcroft Hometown Holidays,  the Piscataquis County Democrats gave out hot cocoa and cookies at their North Street office from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4.  Along with this, the Service Committee was there collecting donations for their December Food Drive.

The hot cocoa and cookies were appreciated by all those who stopped in and helped to warm them before returning outside. We were grateful to all who contributed to our food drive which will help local families who struggle with food insecurity. After the December Food Drive, the Service Committee will have donated $2,600 plus food and household items to our area food cupboards.
