Harrigan Learning Center and Museum presents ‘A World Shaped by Ice’

MILO — The Harrigan Learning Center and Museum is pleased to present David S. Cook, guest speaker. His presentation “A World Shaped by Ice” will take place at Three Rivers Kiwanis of Milo/Brownville located at the Milo Business Park, 15 Harris Pond Road on Friday, Aug 27 from 2-4 p.m. Cost is by donation and you must RSVP by phone at 207-478-1046.

The purpose of this program is to explore with interested folks the recent findings that illuminate both facts and questions that research has established. Our program will include an illustrated presentation which will include prehistoric artifacts from our immediate area and what we can learn from them.

The guest speaker grew up in the town of Milo. Cook is a former president of the Maine Archeological Society; he is an adjunct faculty member at Central Maine Community College and the University of Maine at Farmington. He authored the book “Above the Gravel Bar.”
