MILO — Work is progressing on the soon-to-be new home of the Milo Ecumenical Food Cupboard. A beautiful sign designed and created by the Drews family, volunteers for the food cupboard, was installed the second week of August.
Specially designed to recognize donors on any given week, presently Good Shepherd Food Bank, Milo Tradewinds, Graves Service Inc., and DeWitt Electric are gratefully acknowledged on the new sign.
In the near future, Milo Ecumenical Food Cupboard will also have a new name: Dyer’s Hope House, in honor of Hope and Lew Dyer who maintained and cherished the food cupboard for over 40 years.
The food cupboard serves individuals and families in Milo, Brownville, Brownville Junction, Orneville, LaGrange, Sebec, and surrounding areas. For more information please contact 207-279-1614.
