Maine Department of Corrections updates COVID case numbers

The Mountain View Correctional Facility in Charleston has had a total of seven staff test positive for COVID-19 over the last 60  days, all of whom are now recovered. A total of seven residents of the facility have tested positive during this  time period. Five have recovered.  

Maine State Prison, as a result of three staff testing positive for COVID-19 since the beginning of the year, has commenced testing a group of residents and staff. Thus far, no residents have tested positive and no other staff  have tested positive.  

Long Creek Youth Development Center has had one staff member test positive for COVID-19 in 2021. Testing  among a group of staff and residents has resulted in no additional positives at the facility.  

Maine Correctional Center has had no new positive cases this year.  

Southern Maine Women’s Reentry Center has not had any positive cases.
