Support Contreni on Nov. 3

To the Editor;

In just a few weeks, we have the opportunity to send a real leader to Augusta, one we can be proud of. We should expect more from our representatives than appearances at a few parades or handshakes a week before Election Day. Incumbents who blame others for their inability to get anything done should find a new hobby. We need leaders who deliver results

I’ll be supporting Margarita Contreni for state representative. Margarita is an accomplished, dedicated public servant with a track record of success. She is engaged and truly understands the needs of Piscataquis County, leading the Moosehead Lake Economic Development Corp and other organizations that are improving our communities. If you haven’t seen Margarita in the paper, it’s because she’s behind the scenes actually getting things done, not posing for photo ops.

One might not know it by driving around and observing the political signs in Piscataquis County, but Democrats are very popular in Maine and look set to expand their majorities in the legislature. Our incumbent representative would have plenty to complain about, but not Margarita. As a member of the majority party, she will have a seat at the table and be busy representing our interests.

Join me in supporting Margarita Contreni on Nov. 3.
