SeDoMoCha shines the spotlight on outstanding students and staff 

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Each month the SeDoMoCha School recognizes “Students in the Spotlight” celebrating pupils from kindergarten to grade 8 who teachers and staff have determined best demonstrate a specific positive attribute or characteristic chosen for the timeframe from the Habits of Mind (a set of life skills for educators and parents). The 11 January students were honored for “Taking Responsible Risks” during an all-school assembly on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 21.

 

The honorees are Caleb Leighton, kindergarten; Dahlia Stone, grade 1; Jameson Kennedy, grade 2;  Khloey Merrill, grade 3; Jack Gallagher, grade 4; Noah Bury, elementary unified arts; Kaycie Bishop, grade 5; Grayson Bruyette, grade 6; Eli Lane, grade 7; Karson Tibbetts, grade 8; and  Jacob Johnson, middle school unified arts.

TAKING RESPONSIBLE RISKS IN THE SPOTLIGHT — During a Jan. 21 assembly 11 pupils at the SeDoMoCha School in Dover-Foxcroft were recognized as this month’s Students in the Spotlight for taking responsible risks, the positive attribute or characteristic chosen for this month from the Habits of Mind. New for this academic year is a staff piece for the Spotlight program. Four staff members were nominated by their peers and an Employee in the Spotlight winner was chosen by administrators. The honoree is Chris Miller, grade 6 social studies teacher and Outdoors Club adviser.

 

Katie Day, special services administrative assistant, grade 3 teacher Cecelia Dube and elementary math educational technician Josh Kimball were also nominated.
