Shirley Bog Trail Busters trail report

SHIRLEY — Jan. 19: We have a few inches of snow in the last few days on top of ice from last week. Saturday night we were blessed with about six inches of nice powder.

We are grooming trails with both our track truck and Expedition. Our trails make an enjoyable ride. Connecting to other trails is still a problem. Some of the surrounding trail systems have little snow and are not regularly grooming. Kiosks on the trails have our 2020 new maps or go on line and download one at https://sites.google.com/site/shirleybogtrailbusters/home

The Paper Company is not plowing the Clouse Allen Road as originally planned so this will be open to snowmobiling.

Please stay on marked trails. Many of our landowners are generous enough to let our trails go through their property and do not want us to venture further on their land where there may be trees, blueberries, etc. that sleds chew up.  Free riders need to stop spinning up the trails and digging into the trails and going off the trails whenever they want. We groom for the majority of the public that enjoy nice rides with friends and families and a few people are ruining our nicely groomed trails regularly. Ride safe and have fun!
