Indoor track results 

ORONO — The Foxcroft Academy and Piscataquis Community High School indoor track and field teams were in action at an Eastern Maine Indoor Track League/Penobscot Valley Conference meet Jan. 18 at the University of Maine.

 

The Foxcroft boys picked up 11 points to finish seventh among nine schools scoring at the competition.

 

Pony sophomore Jacob Reed tied for second in the high jump as he and Ellsworth High School freshman Drew Pierson both cleared the bar at 5 feet, 4 inches.

 

Senior Hunter Clarke scored the other four points for Foxcroft by finishing fourth in the 55-meter finals in a time of 7.11 seconds.

 

PCHS junior Ty Massie came in fifth in the long jump at a distance of 17 feet, 1 inch. Massie’s two points in the long jump enabled the Pirates to tie Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln for eighth place.

 

In the girls’ meet, PCHS finished seventh among eight teams with a score of six points.

 

Pirate freshman Molly Sipple picked up the half dozen points by placing third in the 55-meter finals. Sipple ran the event in a time of 7.90 seconds.
