Growing Through Grief session Jan. 21

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Growing Through Grief is one of Pine Tree Hospice’s bereavement programs for adults. The Growing Through Grief program begins with a facilitated grief support group which is then followed by a presentation or workshop.

Have you experienced a significant loss from death? Are you wondering what grief is and what you can expect over the next few months? Join Lisa Joy White, bereavement specialist and Pine Tree Hospice’s bereavement and education coordinator, to learn some basics about grief and what you might expect to feel.

Knowing you aren’t alone and that there are others who share the pain of loss can be comforting; being able to talk about your pain can be very healing. Many people find comfort by sharing their feelings of pain, emotions and thoughts in a group setting, or just quietly listening. This facilitated grief support group is a place you may find solace.

Growing Through Grief meets on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May, from 1-3 p.m. in Dover-Foxcroft. The grief support group, presentation, and delicious dessert are free of charge. Participants must pre-register by calling Pine Tree Hospice at 207-564-4346.
