Center Theatre to present holiday dinner theater at Central Hall

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre and the Slightly Off-Center Players plan to host a holiday murder mystery dinner theater at Central Hall on Saturday, Nov. 30, but only if they get enough interested participants. The event, titled “Ho Ho Homicide,” centers around some holiday problems at the North Pole.

“Productivity is at an all-time low,” says Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director. “People are upset and Santa’s legacy is at stake. Desperate for a change, there are many who are willing to do almost anything to save Christmas.”

Myers said that admission to the event includes a delicious dinner and the chance to be part of the fun, “Those who want to can choose whether they want a larger or a smaller role. There is no set cast for the evening, just your friends and neighbors working together to solve a mystery.”

Admission to the event is $30 per person and a discounted rate of $200 for a table of eight. Reservations need to be made by Monday, Nov. 18 and Myers said if they do not get some more reservations they will not be able to hold the event.

“A night like this is very fun, but only if you get enough people involved,” he said. “We are only selling 56 tickets in total but we need to sell at least 20 more before the 18th to make it happen.” Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.centertheatre.org, on the phone by calling 564-8943 or in person at the Center Theatre box office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.
