Dexter municipal election results

DEXTER — Dexter residents went to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to vote on races for the town council, SAD 46 school board, HAD 4 board of directors and seats on the Dexter Utility District board of trustees.

The top three council candidates among a field of nine were elected to 3-year terms. The new councilors are Andrew Bermudez with 456 votes, Heidi Kinney with 361 votes and David Palmer at 283 votes. Other totals were Adam Briggs 169, Richard Goodwin 152, Michael Blake 150, incumbent Peter Haskell 147, Noreen O’Brien 139 and Adrian Cronkhite 63.

For a pair of 3-year terms on the SAD 46 board of directors, Brian Sawtelle was elected with 440 votes and Leilani Cyr was reelected with a count of 363. Finishing third in the race with 287 was Antoinette Ploude.

Amanda Paige was elected to a 2-year term on the school board with 283 votes. Amanda Bagley also ran for the seat and she had 203 votes while Mary Ann Sushinsky had 78.

Michael Burton and Craig Carver were each elected to 1-year terms on the school board with respective vote totals of 530 and 472.

Incumbents Kimberly Ellms and Sharon Goodwin were both reelected to the HAD 4 board of directors for 3-year terms. Ellms and Goodwin had respective counts of 562 and 555.

In the Dexter Utility District Trustees race Jeffrey Crowell was elected to a 3-year term with 587 votes while Roger Salley was reelected for another 3-year term with a count of 564 votes.
