Portalatin finishes fourth at MDI Half-Marathon

BAR HARBOR — Milo resident Rico Portalatin, age 48, finished fourth out of a field of 600 runners in the annual Mount Desert Island Half-Marathon on October 20. Portatlin covered the 13.1 miles in a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 1 second. He was first in the men’s age 45-49 division, at a 5:58 mile pace.

Five other residents of the region ran on Sunday. Peter Devine, 70 of Garland, came in 241st at 2:07.55, winning the men’s 70-74 age group. Kathleen Dixon-Wallace, 53 of Milo, placed 254th at 2:09.22.

Amy Rogers, 37 of Dover-Foxcroft, was 378th at 2:22.32. Lori Towne, 46 of Dover-Foxcroft, finished 546th at 3:00.56 and right behind in 547th place was Andrea Miller, 47 of Dexter, in a time of 3:01.44.
