Free cider pressing event Oct 20

SANGERVILLE — The Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District is partnering with the East Sangerville Grange again to provide an afternoon of family fun at an upcoming cider pressing event. This event at the East Sangerville Grange on Sunday, Oct. 20 will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be packed with pressing fun and a delicious potluck lunch.

Whether you are a cider-pressing pro or you have never done it before, this event is sure to offer a good time for all. Organizers will have a potluck lunch, so be sure to bring a dish to share, apples, your own jars or containers and be ready for an afternoon of pressing, fun and great company. If you don’t have apples of your own, don’t let that stop you for joining in. You can always purchase apples from local orchards and there will be plenty at the event to share.

The district is requesting that you RSVP for this event by giving them a call at 564-2321 ext. 3 or by sending an email to info@piscataquisswcd.org. Be sure to check out this event on the district Facebook page. The event will be capped at 50 participants, so be sure to RSVP early.
