Pony boys soccer starts with victory at Dexter

DEXTER — Foxcroft Academy boys soccer opened the season with a huge win by defeating Dexter Regional High School 15-2 on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The Ponies opened the scoring five minutes into the game when junior Isaac Drury took a breakaway and put it in the back of the net. The team continued with the pressure as Foxcroft outshot the Tigers 30-1 for a 10-1 lead at half.

In the second half the Ponies continued with the attack scoring five more goals in the 15-2 victory. Foxcroft was led by senior Shadane Hamilton with three goals and two assists, Drury with three goals and one assist, junior Alexis Fidalgo with three goals and two assists and sophomore Michael Whang with four goals.

Junior goalkeeperMikel Alvarez had one save on three shots.

Dexter’s Brett Kusnierz recorded 24 saves on 49 shots. Nathan Richards had both Tiger goals.
