Parkman Grange awards Minnie Welts Bridge Scholarships

PARKMAN — The Parkman Grange awarded three Parkman college students Minnie Welts Bridge Scholarships of $500 each for the 2019-20 school year. Winners this year are Bailey Lemieux, a sophomore in pre-Law at Husson University; Kolby Kain, a senior in elementary education at Husson University; and Adam Bagley, a sophomore in forestry at the University of Maine-Fort Kent.

Awards were made at the eighth annual Minnie Welts Bridge Memorial Scholarship Supper on Saturday, Aug. 3 where approximately 60 diners enjoyed smoked pork loin, hot dogs, baked beans, a variety of salads, cake and ice cream. With these three newest recipients, the Grange has awarded a total of $11,000 in scholarships.
