Hardwood/Puritan Medical Products donates $1,200 to Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine Cancer Fund

GUILFORD — Hardwood Products Company and Puritan Medical Products Company officials thank all individuals that volunteered to be active participants in the dunk tank during the annual Piscataquis River Festival on July 27.They also thank everyone that helped to man the table and collect money. All proceeds were donated to the Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine Cancer Fund.

A total of $589 in donations was raised from the dunk tank. Hardwood Products Company and Puritan Medical Products Company matched the earnings, and Harwood Products Sales Manager/Traffic Manager Ann Erickson was able to present the Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine Cancer Fund with a $1,178 check.

Monies were raised from a Piscataquis River Festival dunk tank and match from the company.

The Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine Cancer Fund had set a goal of $4,000 and with the Hardwood Products Company & Puritan Medical Products Company donation, the organization was able to surpass this amount. The funds will be distributed to six individuals who are fighting breast cancer in Piscataquis County.

Again, company officials thank everyone for all of the support and participation that was given to make this event a huge success.
