Friends of Community Fitness holds annual 5K and kids fun run

GUILFORD — Friends of Community Fitness held its 14th annual Fitness 5K, as part of the Piscataquis River Festival, on the morning of July 27 with the following results:

1. Brendan Labarre, age 17, 20 minutes, 49 seconds; 2. Randy Easler 41 23:17; 3. David Tweedie 55 24:30; 4. Mike Shorey 45 24:34; tie-5. Chase Lander 10 and Matthew Robinson 16 26:24; 7. Peter Devine 70 27:34; 8. Willow Forbes-Smith — top women’s runner — 11 27:38; tie-9. Fletcher Davis 28 and Brian Davis 62 28:23;

11. Trisha Moulton 50 29:57; 12. Shirley Adams 68 33:14; 13. Emily Davis 65 33:44; tie-14. Mahalia Forbes-Smith 13 and Karl Smith 47 35:06; and 16. Amy Easler 40 42:00.

The 5K had a pair of walkers, Lisa Labree and Lucille Gordon.

Before the 5K boys and girls had the opportunity to take part in a kids fun run. In order across the finish line, Harold White, 9; Breelyn Gaw, 9; Austin Erickson, 4; Nolan Mooers, 6; and Bensyn Gaw, 4.
