Photo courtesy of Penquis Youth Hockey Association JULY 4 PARADE ZAMBONI -- Officials with the Penquis Youth Hockey Association had a great deal of fun debuting its “Zamboni” in the annual Fourth of July parade on Thursday in Sebec Village. The public is encouraged to keep an eye out for the float in future parades and events. The Penquis Youth Hockey Association was formed earlier in the year as a result of the excitement around the forthcoming Piscataquis County Ice Arena, being built on West Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft. The association has teamed with Maine Amateur Hockey and USA Hockey to ensure they hold the organization, coaches and players to the highest of standards of sportsmanship, learning and respecting the game of hockey. The group looks to serve the entire Penquis region and instill knowledge and passion for the sport in the hope of fielding teams at all age levels as it grows.
