Foxcroft Youth Track results

OLD TOWN — The Foxcroft Youth Track program kicked off the summer season with a June 27 USATF Group D meet at Old Town High School.

Makynlee Sands finished sixth in the girls 8 and under javelin with a top throw of 17 feet, 10 inches. Teammate Grace Wasel placed eighth in the event at 15-01.

Wasel and Sands were 17th and 18th in the long jump at respective distances of 4-09.50 and 4-09.

In the girls 9-10 100-meter dash, Madison Sands came in 14th in a time of 18.02 seconds.

For the Foxcroft boys, Jack Kingsbury had the second-best time in the 13-14 100 hurdles at 20.22 seconds. He also was fifth in the high jump at 4-04 and Kingsbury came in ninth in the shot put with a throw of 21-04.

During a July 3 meet in Old Town Kaydance Sheridan placed eighth in the girls 11-12 shot put at a distance of 14-08. She was also 14th in the high jump, clearing the bar at 3-02.

In the boys’ meet, Jackson Smith recorded a pair of second-place performances. He came in second in the 13-14 100 at 13.15 seconds and was second in the long jump at 14-03.75.

Landon Smith placed third in the 11-12 100 with a time of 14.94 seconds, and he was third in his age group in the long jump at exactly 12 feet.

Kingsbury came in fourth in the 13-14 hurdles at 21.46, sixth in the long jump at 12-06 and he finished 13th in the 100 at 15.39 seconds.
