Summer of events mark church’s 200th anniversary

BROWNVILLE — A special evening of music with the Lovely Family will be Friday, June 29 at 7 p.m. (refreshments at 6:30 p.m.) at the Brownville Community Church as part of the church’s 200th anniversary celebration.

Every Saturday during July the church is hosting a community yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please reserve a space for $10 each week. The proceeds are going toward the church steeple fund. For more details call Barbie at 965-8493 or Cindy at 965-8075.

On Saturday, July 13th at 6 p.m. the Brownville Community Church is having a potluck supper followed by a church and community slideshow with vintage pictures as part of the 200th anniversary celebration. For more information, call Cindy at 965-8075 or Barbie at 965-8493.

Saturday, Aug. 3 the church is having its Old Home Day auction and bean hole supper. The auction starts at 9 a.m.– there will be a concession stand to purchase food. The bean hole supper is 5-6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Aug. 25 at 3 p.m. the Brownville Community Church is having its special bicentennial church service followed by a light meal and refreshments. For more information call Cindy at 965-8075, Barbie at 965-8493 or Walter at 943-2331.
