AXE EXHIBITIONS AT DOVER TRUE VALUE HOMESHOW — The Axe Women Loggers of Maine will have three shows as part of the inaugural “Dover True Value Homeshow Expo” in the business parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 22 in conjunction with the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival in downtown Dover-Foxcroft.

For each booth you visit, you can collect a ticket to turn in inside the store in a Chinese auction-style raffle for some great prizes donated by all the vendors. Visit two booths and get two tickets, visit 10 booths and get 10 tickets. Then you can put any of your tickets into any of the buckets you choose for a chance to win the prizes you wish. No purchase necessary and drawings will be held at the end of the day. You do not need to be present to win.

You also won’t want to miss the fun things happening all throughout the day. Try your hand on a new zero turn mower as you drive around the zero turn test track. Get some awesome food at the Penquis Youth Hockey Association fundraising booth and see how good you are with a stick at the organization slap shot contest.

Then take your lunch over to one of the picnic tables set up for your convenience where you can relax and watch an amazing show as the Axe Women Loggers of Maine will be having shows at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. There you will see past and present world champion axewomen chop, split and throw axes in competition-style entertainment, sponsored by Stihl. Inbetween Axe Women shows, be sure to stick around to catch two performances by the Northern Grey Band at 11:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.

This is a free event and will be something you definitely won’t want to miss.
