Center Theatre receives Bangor Savings Bank Foundation grant

BANGOR — The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation recently awarded grants to several nonprofit organizations in eastern and northern Maine, including the Center Theatre for the Performing Arts in Dover-Foxcroft.

The foundation awards grants, ranging from $2,000 to $25,000, to nonprofits with worthy initiatives that make communities more prosperous, more livable and more vibrant. Grant applications are reviewed quarterly.

The Challenger Learning Center in Bangor received a grant to upgrade their computer hardware and software platform to bring a new Mission to Mars simulation to life for students. And, Our Katahdin received a grant to help match funds for the expansion of two retail spaces and the creation of a co-working space in downtown Millinocket.

Other regional Bangor Savings Bank Foundation grant recipients are Mid Coast Health Net with funding for Knox County Health Clinic in Rockland, The Salvation Army of Bangor and OHI in Brewer.
