SeDoMoCha eighth-graders experience the dangers of distracted driving

BUCKLE UP — SeDoMoCha Middle eighth-grader Jade LaPlante experiences the impact of a 5 mph crash and the importance of wearing a seatbelt in the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety’s “Seat Belt Convincer” during a demonstration on May 31 at the Dover-Foxcroft school, as LaPlante’s classmate Levi Strout looks on. Atlantic Partners EMS brought the Seat Belt Convincer and a distracted driving video simulator — students could connect their own phones to the system — to SeDoMoCha as eighth-graders learned about the dangers of distracted driving and the importance of traffic safety.
