Dexter announces Class of 2019 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

DEXTER — Dexter Regional High School Principal Stephen Bell is honored to announce the Valedictorian for the Class of 2019 is Shannon O’Roak and the Salutatorian is Aino Rudloff-Eastman.

O’Roak is the daughter of Sara and David Eastman of Exeter and Jeff O’Roak of Rockport. She is planning to attend the University of New England in Biddeford, majoring in Applied Exercise Science and Physical Therapy.

While in high school O’Roak has been involved in soccer, tennis, Key Club, Seeds of Peace, National Honor Society, Global Discussions and student government. She currently serves as the senior class vice president and the co-student school board representative.

Rudloff-Eastman is the daughter of Jack Eastman and Erica Rudloff of Exeter. She is planning to attend the University of New England, majoring in Environmental Science.

While in high school Rudloff-Eastman has been involved in tennis, Key Club, Global Discussions, National Honor Society, Seeds of Peace, ensemble, school musicals, Dirigo Girls’ State and student council. She has had the opportunity to study abroad for several weeks in Costa Rica and studied at Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki in Wiscasset. Rudloff-Eastman currently serves as Key Club president, NHS secretary and student council secretary.

The administration, faculty and staff at Dexter would like to congratulate these two exceptional students on all of their hard work and accomplishments.

Dexter will hold commencement exercises for the Class of 2019 at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 9 in Guiski Gymnasium. Admission is by ticket only.
