DEXTER CLEAN-UP DAY — On May 5 Dexter Hannaford organized a clean-up day around town with help from Dexter Recreation Department and Dexter Fire Department. Immediately after the cleanup, Hannaford put on a BBQ at the fire department for those who helped. Among the groups taking part were Dexter Hannaford, New Hope Baptist Church youth group, Dexter Regional High School Key Club, Dexter Fire Department, Dexter Revitalization Committee, Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Cub Scouts, Dexter Recreation Department, First Baptist Church and many individuals from town. More than 70 participants cleaned seven roads and five parks, collecting an actual ton of trash. Organizers said there was a great turnout and they made a large impact on the way Dexter looks. They hope for an even larger turner out next year.
