PCHS announces Simon and Wilson as valedictorian and salutatorian

GUILFORD — Piscataquis Community High School has announced the Class of 2019 Valedictorian is Jennifer Simon and the Salutatorian is Zachary Wilson.

Jennifer is the daughter of Dawn Simon of Parkman. She is the granddaughter of Faith and Richard Woodbury of St. Albans. Jennifer has been a member of Drama Club, Student Council, Pirate Volunteer Club, the Civil Rights Team and is secretary of the National Honor Society. She also is the student director of Glee Club, and president of Student Council. Jennifer enjoys history, art and stage performance including acting, stand-up, and singing, as well as emceeing the PCHS Visual and Performing Arts Cabaret.

Jennifer will be attending the University of New Haven, majoring in Theater Arts.

Zachary is the son of Kyle and Emily Wilson of Sangerville. He has been a member of the Key Club, the Pirate Volunteer Club, Student Council and is the president of the National Honor Society. Zachary is a four-year member of the wrestling and tennis teams, he served as a captain for both teams and was a state champion wrestler.

Zachary will be attending the University of Southern Maine, majoring in secondary education with a specialization in English and he will be a member of the wrestling team.
