Monthly discussion to look at ‘Humanity’s Phase Shift?’

DEXTER — On Friday April 5 Dexter Dover Area Towns in Transition (DDATT) will hold its next public discussion, the topic of which will be “Humanity’s Phase Shift.” Faced with rising environmental, social, economic and political problems across the planet, human beings are recognizing that the old governing systems based on competition and rivalry which have produced remarkable results for our species in the past are no longer workable as we approach 8 billion of us.

Daniel Schmachtenberger is a futurist, evolutionary philosopher and strategist and social engineer. In a fast-paced half-hour YouTube interview, he looks at the growing civilisation-level crisis that we are beginning to see around us, and looks at what a genuine “phase shift” for human progress might look like.

Please join some of your fellow Homo Sapiens at Dexter’s Abbott Memorial Library at 6 p.m. Friday April 5 to watch this video then discuss whatever it may stimulate among our brains, hearts and spirits.

Because of the complexity of Schmactenberger’s thinking and the speed of his delivery, DDATT recommends watching this interview if possible at least once before the public viewing at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQRzxEobWco

DDATT’s mission is to help our area increase our energy and food independence and create a more stable rural economy, sharing skills and ideas which can help us all take better care of each other and our natural resources.
