Nearly 300 youth wrestle at Foxcroft Academy

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Foxcroft Youth and SeDoMoCha Middle School wrestling teams hosted the annual youth tournament Saturday, March 9 at Foxcroft Academy. Over 270 wrestlers competed representing 10 teams from Bangor, Bucksport, Dexter, Dover-Foxcroft, Calais, Howland, Guilford, Lincoln, Pittsfield and Winslow.

For the Foxcroft Youth team (pre-kindergarten through grade 5) the first-place wrestlers were Landon Gormley, Mathias Laurent, Alex Hanson, Nicholas McCorrison, Brennan McGeoghegan, Kaleb Worthing, Owen Weymouth, Aidan Bryant, Robert Weymouth, Tanyon Gibbs and Colby Gilbert.

Third place: Sylveste Crowell, Jordan Brooks, Jackson Hanson, Evan Annis, Jameson Kennedy, Cooper Jay, Keegan Crowell, Charlie Johnston, Shane Bowden and Jayden Gagnon.
