Domestic abuse intervention training starts March 28

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Partners for Peace, a domestic violence resource center, will host a 44-hour training in Dover-Foxcroft for anyone interested in volunteering with the organization. The first session begins Thursday, March 28.

Partners for Peace provides support services to anyone affected by domestic abuse and violence in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties including a free and confidential 24-hour helpline.

Trained volunteers will be able to provide a wide array of services in addition to the helpline including working with children, helping in the office, and representing Partners for Peace at community events.

Trainings can also go toward continued education units as well as internships, field placements and work study with several area colleges and universities.To express interest in any of these trainings, please contact Catherine Reed at 564-8166 or creed@partnersforpeaceme.org.
