Ponies swim at conference meet
ORONO — The Foxcroft Academy swim team took part in the Penobscot Valley Conference championship on Feb. 8-9 at the University of Maine.
The boys’ meet was held on Friday evening and Foxcroft finished 12th of 13 schools with a score of seven points.
The Pony 200-yard freestyle relay team — comprised of Yao Li, Hunter Kemp, Triston Green, and Noah Contreras, placed 10th with a time of 2 minutes, 1.76 seconds. Contreras was 12th in the 100 butterfly at 1:06.88.
On Saturday Foxcroft girls came in 11th place with a score of eight points.
The Pony 200 medley relay was ninth as Reece McCarty, Olivia McCorrison, Abigail Henderson, and Amy Waugh combined for a time of 2:31.97.
