Adult grief support group meets Feb. 19 in D-F

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The death of a loved one often reminds us just how fragile and temporary life is. It can also motivate us to take control over planning for our own future and end of life. At the same time, processing and making decisions about such important matters can be made more difficult by grief.

For this reason, at the next Pine Tree Hospice Lunch & Learn program Ardie Hacker will be presenting some basic information about advance directives in the form of the “Five Wishes” document. The form is easy to follow and can help the bereaved get some plans in place in case there is a time they cannot speak for themselves about their goals and desired care.

This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19 in Dover-Foxcroft and is part of Pine Tree Hospice’s adult bereavement support program. The program is open to adults in the community who have experienced grief due to death, whether recently or in the past. The support group, presentation, and nutritious lunch are all free of charge.

To pre-register for Lunch ‘n Learn, please call Pine Tree Hospice at 564-4346 or email wecare@pinetreehospice.org.
