Member holiday party at the Center Theatre Nov. 30

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre for the performing arts has announced it will be holding a holiday party for their members and guests at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30. The event will feature light appetizers, a sneak preview of the “Wicked Christmas Carol,” a celebration of the beginning of renovations nearly 20 years ago, and a chance to win free movie admissions for all of 2019.

The event is an annual celebration of the members of the Center Theatre, says Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, “We are so grateful for all our members and want to have a night to thank them for all they do for us.”

Myers is excited to show the Theatre members and their guests a sneak preview from Bobby Keniston’s upcoming “Wicked Christmas Carol,” “The show is a funny and entertaining take on what the story of the Wicked Witch would look like if Dickens’ Christmas Carol came to Oz. We will also celebrating the fact that about 20 years ago the first work began on the the Center Theatre renovations. We’ll be sharing some slides and history of the renovations and some exciting news about plans for the future.”

Myers also reports that attendees will have a chance to win free movie admission for all of 2019. Members will be able to purchase a raffle ticket, but will also be given a free entry if they bring a new member who signs up at the event or if they purchase a gift membership at the event. “Gift memberships are a wonderful holiday purchase,” Myers said, “They not only support the Center Theatre but give the gift of entertainment to your friends and family all year long.”

Myers also said that there will be other holiday gift opportunities at the event such as Center Theatre gift cards, shirts, Christmas cards, and Whoopie Pie Festival merchandise.
