Three candidates have vision, compassion, conviction, and common sense

To the Editor;
As I travel around my community I see many candidates’ signs championing “Common Sense” and “Independent Voice.” These are important attributes for all of us, but they are not sufficient skills for this time of great need in our region and in our beloved state of Maine. Senate District 4 and House Districts 119 and 120 hover on the edge of a promising future, one that that embraces clean, renewable energy, healthcare access for all, vibrant downtowns, and schools that challenge and support all of our children.

Citizens of Piscataquis County and neighboring towns in Penobscot and Somerset, require new leadership to move us forward to ensure this promising future becomes the reality. We need leaders with vision, conviction and compassion; leaders with experience in creating initiatives that promote healthy communities, innovative economies and care for all of our citizens. Fortunately, we have candidates who exhibit these attributes every day as they treat patients, advocate for our children and seniors, and promote the development of renewable energy sources. They work diligently on behalf of our communities with vision, compassion, conviction, and common sense. Now, we need to elect them to the Legislature so they can lead us forward to the promising future the people of our region deserve. Please help to elect Sue Mackey Andrews, Tyler Adkins, and Dr. Richard Evans. Absentee ballots are available at your town office now; Election Day is Nov. 6!
