Golden has family’s concerns in mind

To the Editor;
Channel 2’s Oct. 8 2nd Congressional District Candidate Debate made one point perfectly clear. Will Hoar, Tiffany Bond, and Jared Golden understand what life for the middle and working classes is like in rural Maine. Bruce Poliquin seems to only understand how to use name calling and crowing about alleged successes for our welfare. Despite low unemployment statistics, residents I meet are still struggling due to insufficient salaries and wages.

Inadequate healthcare access, harsh college education costs, inadequate early childhood education through high school graduation, and unsafe housing prevail as consequences of long-term poverty.As Americans, we have many advantages but not all of our neighbors are thriving. Our wealthy government leaders’ lack of understanding or interest continues to prevail.

I support Jared Golden for 2nd District Congress because he has my family’s concerns in mind.
