Golden for Congress

To the Editor;
After great consideration I am supporting Jared Golden, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress. Jared has experience in the Maine House of Representatives, knowing how to work across the aisle. He was elected by his peers to serve as the Democratic assistant majority leader in the Maine House. He has served his country as a U.S. Marine in Afghanistan and Iraq. He understands the issues after serving his country. He has shown his support for veterans. He supports creating a fair tax plan, ensuring healthcare is affordable, protecting programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. These issues are important to Maine families.

As a senior I am happy to know he will support issues like keeping Social Security sustainable, working to lower prescription drugs, and will have an open door policy to communicate with his constituents.
