Dr. Steinke earns Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition from the Academy of General Dentistry

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), a professional association of more than 40,000 general dentists who are dedicated to professional excellence through the pursuit of continuing education, is pleased to announce that Daniel L. Steinke, DDS, MAGD of Steinke & Caruso Dental Care in Dover-Foxcroft has earned the 2018 Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition for his commitment to lifelong learning, volunteering his services to communities in need, mentoring associates and new dentists and participating in organized dentistry. This is the second time Dr. Steinke has received this prestigious award.

The Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition is presented only to AGD members who have gone above and beyond earning the association’s highest honor of Mastership. To accomplish this recognition Dr. Steinke completed at least 2,100 hours of continuing dental education in 16 different dental disciplines. In addition, second-time recipients must complete at least 200 hours of dental related community/volunteer service.

“Recipients of AGD’s Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition are true leaders among our organization and wholly embrace the AGD’s core principles and ideals,” said AGD President Manuel A. Cordero, DDS, CPH, MAGD. “For Dr. Steinke, this award symbolizes a career of excellence in dentistry and demonstrates the characteristics of a role model to his fellow dentists and to members of the community.”

Dr. Steinke has focused his ability to provide the highest quality care through dedicating himself to nearly unparalleled continuing education. Highlights of Dr. Steinke’s continuing education are Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), Alumni of the LD Pankey Institute, founding president of New England Masters Study Club and he continues to spend over 25 days per year outside the office in continuing education.

His membership organizations include Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (Fellow), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Pierre Fauchaud Academy, Pankey Institute Alumni, Maine Dental Association, Maine Academy of General Dentistry (current president) and International Congress of Oral Implantologists (Master).

Since its inception in 2005, only 336 of the AGD’s 40,000-plus members have received the prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition and less than 50 members have received the award more than once.
