New SeDoMoCha assistant principal hired

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The SeDoMoCha School administrative staff for the 2018-19 school year is now all in place as Andrew Shaw was hired as the pre-kindergarten to grade 8 assistant principal during a July 18 special meeting of the RSU 68 school board.

Following a 13-minute executive session Shaw was hired — via a 6-0 vote with three board members absent for excused reasons — with a one-year contract at a salary of $67.500. Shaw comes to SeDoMoCha after having served as the athletic director and K-12 health/physical education teacher at the Greenville Consolidated School.

Shaw joins new principal Adam Gudroe at SeDoMoCha. Last month the board of directors hired the former Ridge View Community School of Dexter assistant principal/athletic director.

Gudroe and Shaw will succeed Julie Kimball and Nathan Dyer respectively, as the former principal and assistant principal both submitted their resignations for the end of the last school year. Kimball departed after eight years as an administrator in the building between the position and as elementary principal when the structure was set up with separate principals for the elementary and middle schools. Dyer had been the SeDoMoCha assistant principal for the last three years, and he also served as the middle school athletic director.
