Commemorative D-F Police patches being auctioned for charity

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Dover-Foxcroft Police Department, Center Theatre and the Commons at Central Hall have announced an opportunity for the public to own one of a limited edition set of the new Dover-Foxcroft Police patches. The patches, designed by high school and middle school students, will be framed by Green Door Gallery and will be the first opportunity for the member of the public to own one of the new patches.

Limited edition framed examples of the new Dover-Foxcroft Police Department Commemorative Patch will be available via a silent auction at the Commons at Central Hall during the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival on Saturday, June 23.

Dover-Foxcroft Police Chief Ryan Reardon has been leading this effort for many months to get a new patch designed. “There will be five framed and matted patches with an accompanying letter of authenticity available,” he said. “We’re raffling them off as a fundraiser for both the Center Theatre and the Commons at Central Hall. It’s part of our efforts to include and benefit the community through this project.”

Also available for sale will be several hats and shirts with the patch design.

The Commons at Central Hall is a 501(c) non-profit that has recently renovated and opened the historic Central Hall building for the benefit of the community. The Hall will be open during the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival for tours and commemorative bricks will also be available as a fundraiser.
