Track and field results

The Dexter Regional High School boys finished fourth among a field of seven teams during a May 4 meet at Bucksport High School. The Tigers scored 66 points.

Sophomore Cameron Paige had the day’s top time in the 200 at 24.32 seconds. Paige also came in second in the 100 at 11.97 seconds and third in the high jump by clearing the bar at 5 feet, 4 inches.

Junior David Kirshkaln was the meet javelin runner-up with a throw of 115-02. Kirshkaln placed in the other two weight events by coming in fifth in the discus at 87-10 and finishing sixth in the shot put at 34-03.25.

Junior Ethan Boutilier came in second in the 800 in 2:28.64. He also was third in the 1,600 in a time of 5:37.00. Freshman Michael Gadwah finished sixth in the event at 6:09.02.

Junior Chris Roderka placed second in the 3,200 in 11:35.81.

Junior Dillion Allen came in third in the long jump at 17-08.75 and fifth in the 200 at 25.46 seconds.

The Penquis Valley High School boys were seventh at Bucksport with a score of seven points.

Senior Adam Stetson finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 35-01.25. Junior Matt Mckinnon placed fifth in the 400 at 61.79 seconds.

In the girls’ meet, Dexter scored 36.50 points to finish fifth among a field of eight squads.

Senior Rebecca Batron ended up with the top shot put heave of the day at 25-00.50. She was also third in the javelin at 72-08.

Junior Danielle Cummings won the javelin with a throw of 77-07.

Sophomore Erin Bache placed third in the 100 at 14.11 seconds, fourth in the 200 at 30.88 seconds and she tied for sixth in the long jump at 12-10.

The Penquis girls were seventh at Bucksport after scoring 24 points.

Junior Cymeria Robshaw won the 100 at 13.27 seconds and she also had another first-place performance in the long jump at 17-08.50.

Senior Kelsey Robinson finished fifth in the high jump at 3-10, and placing fifth in the discus at 64-50 was senior Kortnie Stone.

On May 5 the Foxcroft Academy boys’ team came in sixth among 11 teams at Ellsworth High School with a score of 18 points.

Sophomore Daniel Rihtnesberg had the top javelin throw of the meet at a distance of 154-00.

Junior Hyatt Smith came in fourth in the high jump after clearing 5-08. The Pony 4×800 relay team was also fourth. Junior Nicolas Daneman, sophomore Jacob Raynes, junior Noah Contreras and freshman Corey Merrill combined for a time of 10:03.66.

The boys from Greenville High School came in ninth at Ellsworth with 10 points.

Junior Ben Baldwin accounted for the 10 points in the 100 and 200. Baldwin finished third in the 100 in a time of 11.59 seconds, and he was fourth in the 200 at 23.49 seconds.
