Dexter Municipal Golf Course to celebrate its 50th anniversary

DEXTER — The Dexter Municipal Golf Course will celebrate its 50th anniversary during the 2018 golf season according to Jim Costedio, course manager.

To mark the anniversary, this gem of a course is offering a one-time reduced membership fee. Any golfer who was not a member of the course during the 2017 golf season is eligible to take advantage of this great membership deal. Special deals are also available for couples, juniors and college students. The club will host Free Golf Day (not including cart fee) on Saturday, May 5 for anyone considering a membership.

The course consists of nine holes with staggered tees for those wanting to play a full 18 holes. For golfers who own their own motorized golf carts, there are storage barns available for lease. Motorized and pull carts are available for rental. The course has a driving range and club rentals available.

The club has a schedule of weekly tournaments for men and women including Ladies Day, Senior Scramble and the Two-Man scramble along with championship events during the season. The 50th Anniversary Committee is planning several special events and additional programs as part of the anniversary celebration.

Additionally, Dexter Municipal Golf Course is a member of the North Atlantic Golf Course Association which entitles members to play on over a dozen other area courses two times for the cost of cart rental only.
