U.S. Ship of State in peril

To the Editor;
President Donald Trump is a dangerous raving fool. He thinks he can captain the U.S. Ship of State all by himself, with no crew.

He precipitously fires or throws overboard his best crew members, or they jump ship to save themselves. He cannot pilot the ship; he does not know how to steer or which way to turn the wheel. He does not understand the tides or currents, he does not respect our allies. He does not know the shoals and rocks that hazard the ship; he does not recognize or respect our foes, he lets pirates storm the ship. He does not know how to set the sails or run a diesel engine. He cannot set a course, read a map or chart, or even use a compass. He threatens the crew, endangers the passengers and the risks the cargo.

President Trump should be thrown overboard at the earliest moment, before he sinks the ship or runs it aground.
