Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star selections

BANGOR — The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches recently announced that six players from the region have been chosen for the 2018 Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star Games on Saturday, March 10 at Newman Gymnasium on the campus of Husson University.

The Girls C/D North team includes Dexter Regional High School’s Rebecca Batron and Erin Speed of Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford. The pair and their eight teammates will play a team of the top 10 seniors from Class C/D South schools at 2:30 p.m. on March 10.

Jacob Bickford of Dexter and PCHS’ Bryce Gilbert were both chosen for the Boys C/D North Team. Greenville High School teammates Devin Boone and Nick Foley will both be on the Boys C/D South Team. Bickford and Gilbert and the other eight stars from the north will face Boone and Foley and company at 1 p.m. on March 10.

The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches also announced its All-State Academic Team. Foley was one of 10 boys from across Maine to receive this honor.
