Rep. Higgins announces Route 7 paving project

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Rep. Norman Higgins, I-Dover-Foxcroft, announced that the Maine Department of Transportation has included a major rehabilitation and paving project on Route 7 in its upcoming work schedule. The 4.13-mile section from the Shaw Road to Black Stream will be placed for bid on March 14.

Sen. Paul Davis, R-Sangerville, and Rep. Higgins have had on-site visits with Maine Commissioner of Transportation David B. Bernhardt to show the deteriorating conditions and concerns for public safety. It is expected the project will be completed in the fall.
