Piscataquis Democrats open new headquarters

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Dozens of Democrats gathered on Saturday, Jan. 20 for the grand opening of the Piscataquis County Democrats Headquarters at 25 North Street. Dr. Richard Evans of Dover-Foxcroft announced his candidacy for the Maine House of Representatives District 120 and addressed the enthusiastic crowd.

Those in attendance also enjoyed refreshments and conversation as well as the opportunity to talk with several candidates for the Second District Congressional seat and governor, including Lucas St. Claire, Jonathan Fulford, Betsy Sweet and Diane Russell. Phil Bartlett, chair of the Maine Democratic Party addressed the crowd and congratulated the Piscataquis County Democrats for having the first office to open in 2018. Monthly meetings of the Piscataquis committee are held on the first Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. at the new headquarters. All are welcome.
