‘The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe’ opens on Dec 8 at Center Theatre

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre recently announced that the production of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” will debut at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. On opening night, there will be an information reception after the show to meet the cast. Light snacks and desserts will be provided by the Center Theatre board.

After opening night, the show will be performed at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec 9, at 2 p.m. on Sunday the 10th, at 7 p.m. on Friday the 15th, at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday 16th and the final performance will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17. Kids 12 and under are free.

The play, adapted by the classic story by C.S. Lewis by Joseph Robinette, is being directed by Bobby Keniston and features a cast of local actors and actresses. It tells the story of four siblings Edmund, Lucy, Susan and Peter who find themselves in the magical land of Narnia. “The story is a classic and is well known and well loved,” said Center Theatre Executive Director Patrick Myers, “we’re excited to bring it to life on our stage for the community.”
